We are pleased to spotlight two of our UMMC Dermatology alumni, Drs. Caroline Doo and Madelyn King.
Caroline Doo, MD
After completing her dermatology residency and Mohs surgery fellowship, Dr. Caroline Doo returned to her home state of California. She joined Peninsula Dermatologic Surgery where she specializes in Mohs surgery. She and her husband, Steven, currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, where they enjoy exploring all the varied landscapes and divers cuisines the area has to offer. Additionally, Caroline enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new destinations both near and far.
Caroline writes, "I am honored to have been a part of such an outstanding traning program. I am grateful for the invalualble guidance and support from my mentors and peers. The lessons learned, skills aquired, and relationships forged throughout my training have shaped me both personally and professionally. I aim to maintain the high standards set by my trianing by continuing to provide exceptional care for my patients."

Madelyn King, MD
After completing her residency in 2020, Dr. Madelyn King moved back home to Mobile, Alabama, to join Mobile Dermatology. She enjoys a dynamic comprehensive practice with a focus on complex medical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology. She and her husband Jeffrey, welcomed their first child Sam, in December 2023. When not working or spending time with family and their two cats, three chickens, two bee hives and horse Vinny, Madelyn enjoys playing tennis, power walking and gardening.
Madelyn writes, "I am grateful for my time in Mississippi. Not a day goes by that I don’t use a pearl from a faculty member in my own practice.”
